Sing Or Act, Dont Do Both (Unless Your Will Smith)

Will Smith is pretty much amazing.  He can sing and act extremely well.  In I Am Legend,he is pretty much alone for the entire movie and it never gets boring.  The range of emotion that he can express is unparalleled.  But I digress…  My point is that he can do both sing and act, which is something that most famous people can’t do.  There are many famous singers who decide to act, but are terrible at it.  There are also many famous actors who decide that they want to start a singing career, but they are awful singers, like Scarlet Johansson or Lindsey Lohan.  I am really tired of being forced to suffer through terrible songs just because an actor has enough connections to get an album produced, or sit through a terrible movie just because a singer has enough connections to get in a movie.  The celebrities should just stick to what they are good at, instead of trying to do everything just because they want to be a little more famous or make a little more money.

  1. Are you trying to say that these actors (with the exception of Will Smith, of course) should not be trying to make extra money just because Lindsey Lohan’s music upsets you? Will Smith making music and Lindsey Lohan making music are the same in principle. The only difference is that you, as well as I, prefer Will Smith’s music over Lohan’s. The point I’m trying to make is that if these actors want to try and make it in the music industry, they have the right to. Also, you and I really can’t judge Lindsey Lohan’s and Scarlet Johansson’s music. The songs they make aren’t exactly meant for us.

Plus, Joaquin Phoenix, another actor, just recently went into the music industry. He played Johny Cash in “Walk the Line”, so we know he performs well. I’m looking forward to hearing some of the songs he makes with his band.

  3. Its true. Just because an actor wants to make a CD, or a musician wants to be in a movie, that doesn’t mean they should be allowed to if they have no talent for it. Plenty of normal people would love to be in a movie or make a CD, but they cant because they aren’t talented enough. There are many rising musicians who have been trying for years to get their music produced and many aspiring actors who go to hundreds of auditions in order to be try to be in a good movie. So why should celebrities be exceptions to this? Why should they be allowed to be in a movie or make a CD just because they woke up one morning and decided it would be fun? They shouldn’t.
